A G.O.O.D Look

While I have yet to have the privilege of seeing Kanye live I always enjoy his performances and admire his ability to put on a show. The energy and artistic direction always leave a lasting impression on me. He knows how to effectively manipulate your senses so that you are completely engaged in him and nothing else. He's a visionary....who else starts a song with "Close ur eyes and imagine, feel the magic, Vegas on acid seen thru Yves Saint Laurent glasses" (That gets me every fkn time!)Bold, clean, dynamic, convicted are all words I would use to express what I see when he gets on the stage. I have to say I also love how these pics look like fashion editorials - all the subtle elements layered perfectly. Sure he gets a little full of himself sometimes, "...I love it tho!" Lol

Rita Moreno

She is one of the most important women in Puerto Rican history. Rita was born in Humacao, Puerto Rico to a seamstress mother and a farmer father. She is the first and only Latina female to have won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar and a Tony and only the second Puerto Rican to win an Academy Award. She has starred in close to 50 Films!! Her most acclaimed role being that of West Side Story in which she played "Anita" and won an Academy Award for. I love that first pic!

I really L O V E this but.....

To my knowledge, so far, Bey has graced the cover of Essence, Billboard (twice), Dazed & Confused, W Magazine, and last but most certainly not least, L'uomo Vogue. (Not in any kind of chronological order) While I LOVE most of the editorials I do find it kind of contrived that they are all coinciding with the release of her new album, 4. And there's a lot of them!

I haven't quite figured out how to explain why I find it annoying but I dont wanna delay this post with thinking lol

MOVING ON! Here is what I think is my favorite one so far! From her W mag spread. Love the makeup and thinking of sharing some shots of my own make-up inspired by the below. Absolutely Love the saturated colors too....This editorial does what its supposed to do - inspire. Greatly shot,styled and photographed. Period.

I DO love you!

I don't want to go into a whole spiel about Beyonce...Instead Im going to watch the video a few more times and take notes on make-up, hair, and lingerie. I really really really love this video and ALL the elements in it. And I can be a harsh critic but what is there not to love? Its so Hollywood Cheesecake! (if you dont know - google it)

UPDATE: I just watched the video again on silent and I loved it even more. Muahahahaa!! The songs not bad; the visuals are just much better.

I am doing something seriously r-o-n-g wrong. Smh. The Queen of Pop at 52 years of age...about to be 53! AND NO PHOTOSHOP(Peep the fishnet imprint on her hip). She is all types of fierce. Go Madge! The irony of this post is that I was out sick from work yesterday and I wanted to write a post about body image (after spending part of my day at Spa Castle in the buff)....Im still writing that post and it will actually be the perfect follow up to this one...cuz her body is not normal. Lol.
