Scene It: Super 8

SO! Last night I had a chance to check out Super 8, written and directed by J. J. Abrams. Of course with J.J.'s track record I expected Super 8 to be nothing short of awesome and I was right!

Its definitely a family movie and it has all the ingredients for a classic - likeable characters, a story with heart and lots of adventure! The story takes place in the fictional town of Lillian, Ohio and centers around a group of kids who are making a movie. The movie really gets going when the group finds themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time; at the site of an devastating, albeit, awesome train wreck and the center of a mystery of epic proportions. From there on out the group tries to make sense of it all while still completing their zombie movie, "The Case". The acting was incredible. Elle Fanning, Dakota Fanning's sister, is super talented. Its scary. Its creepy! She completely draws you in and her performance is really flawless. Her timing is perfect. The chemistry between her character and Joe Lamb, played by Joel Courtney is really touching and sure to garner some "awwws" from anyone with a beating heart. Riley Griffiths who plays Charles - the director of the movie is a frantic, funny, bossy, sensitive artist who cares only about the integrity of his film and staying alive...Which makes for lots of great one liners lol

I def recommend checking out this movie if you're a fan of Goonies, E.T., Indiana Jones, etc....its just good fun. If you're a J.J. Abrams fan, like I am, then you have to see it just becuase you know how amazing his stuff is.
